This year’s bull sale will be held at “Eulalia”, on 7 th September, at 1.30 pm with photos and videos available on our website.
This year’s draft see a consolidation of our genetics aimed at maximizing returns from quality commercial markets.
Selection for fertility and structure take priority, with calving ease being a must to maximize the number of calves available for sale and replacements.
Our calving ease is not achieved at the expense of high production traits.
We select for excellent growth in the first 12 mths with adequate fat cover for female fertility, and suitability for feedlot requirements and MSA market grids. Top muscle and IMF ensure more
versatility plus better returns and compliance to grids.
The success of our calving ease selection program is seen in our ability to successfully calve our heifers 2 hours travel from home with minimal supervision.
Additional confirmation of our selection direction comes with feedback from our feedlot consignments (eg JBS extremely surprised (!) and complimentary), our client’s feedlot success
(Princess Royal feedlot SA), our grassfed MSA compliance plus our continued carcase competition success.
Steers donated to St Joseph’s Aberdeen and Scone Grammar have consistently scored an av. of 90.2 pts. over the years 2021 to 2023.

Sale Lots to watch are Lots 1 (S3), 2 (S297), 3 (S191), 5 (S440), 10 (S252), 12 (S435).  (We have retained S252’s brother for duties at Elite); Lot 1, S3, is a Hereford nominated super sire.
The younger bulls are also outstanding performers. Lots to watch are 26 (T085), 27 (T092), 28 (T179), 31 (T152), 48 (T107).

The sale will be our usual Helmsman auction with free transport to 400 km offered.
MSA steaks will be available at lunch time.
